Havoc Roar Stereo HRS-ST-144.2HB for Harley Softail
This is the sleekest way to add real music to your Softail without changing its silhouette.
The Havoc Roar Stereo Softail 2-Speaker Sport – 3.5" Handlebar Pods kit puts a pair of compact billet speaker pods on your bars, powered by an Aquatic AV Bluetooth® marine head unit right up on your handlebar clamp where you can see the display and access the controls.
You get clean lines, no giant fairing, and no clutter – just your soundtrack, aimed straight at the rider, tuned for clear vocals and guitars at cruising speed on a naked Softail.
What’s Included
- Softail-specific handlebar clamps with a billet gauge pod housing an Aquatic AV GP-1 Gauge Stereo – with the same award-winning internals that the bagger guys have enjoyed for years. Your new head unit comes pre-loaded in a 6061-T6 billet gauge pod and replacement handlebar clamp, giving your stereo a presence as strong as the materials used – built for the road, as tough as your Harley, and made for weather and miles.
- Available with both styles of OEM handlebar clamps – Offset or Parallel bolt pattern – check the image and order the one that fits your risers.
- The Aquatic AV GP-1 gives you AM/FM radio, Bluetooth® streaming of your favorite music, playback from a USB device or stick, and even SiriusXM® radio by Bluetooth from your phone app.
- A pair of 3.5" Havoc billet handlebar speaker pods, CNC-machined from 6061-T6 aluminum, with beautifully machined accents and billet speaker grills to protect your speakers.
- All machined parts available in chrome or black finish to match the theme of your bike.
- Complete plug-in wiring harness, including:
- Power and ground leads with fused protection
- Inline on/off switch to protect your battery during storage
- Speaker wiring pre-terminated for the pods, long enough that you can trim for installation higher up on ape-hangers
- All necessary mounting hardware and fasteners in stainless steel.
System Design
- Compact footprint on the bars only
- Pods are aimed at the rider for maximum clarity at speed
- System is tuned for clear vocals, guitars, and midrange on a naked Softail
- Designed as a tidy, reversible install – no permanent frame mods required
Fitment
- Designed for Harley-Davidson® Softail® models (naked / non-fairing setups)
- Works with standard Softail-style handlebars with side-by-side mounting on stock bars, or elevated speaker locations on ape-hangers.
- Note: Will not fit T-bars that change the clamping system, and may not fit very narrow bars – if in doubt, send us a picture of your bars and risers so we can advise you.
- Made to work on factory 1" bars, and aftermarket 1.25" or 1.5" bars, with supplied billet aluminum shims.
Note: Exact bar diameters or extreme custom bars may affect installation. Always confirm clearance for full steering lock and cable routing before final tightening.
Ordering note: Use the dropdowns above to select your finish (chrome or black) and the correct clamp style for your bike (1986–present Offset or Parallel handlebar clamp pattern).
Why This Kit
- Billet quality: 6061-T6 CNC-machined handlebar pods match high-end custom builds.
- Rider-focused sound: 3.5" pods aimed at you, not the road, for real-world clarity.
- Softail-ready: Hardware and harness are set up for a Softail naked configuration.
- Reversible: Built to be cleanly removed or upgraded later without cutting the bike apart.
Biker-to-Biker Truth About Volume
HRS-144.2 kits are perfect for real-world riding around town and on country roads, and for riders who want clean music without turning the bike into a full-blown audio build. But physics still wins. At sustained highway / interstate speeds – especially with loud pipes and lots of wind noise – a 144-watt, 2-speaker system has its limits.
If your goal is “concert loud at 75–80 mph”, we recommend stepping up to our amplified 300-watt 2-speaker system with 6.5" speakers on the highway bar.
Best For
- Softail riders who do mostly street and city riding, who want a factory-clean look with a genuine upgrade in sound – real music on a naked Softail, without fairings or big visual changes, using premium billet pods and a marine-grade head unit.
- Riders who spend a lot of time on the open highway should consider the HRS 4-speaker system with the addition of bigger speakers, as wind and other ambient noise can affect the clarity of 3.5" speakers at speed.
