We ride Road Kings too. We know what it's like to want a real stereo without changing what makes a Road King a Road King.

The usual answer has been to add a fairing to make your Road King... well, not a Road King anymore, or to put a Bluetooth dongle somewhere on the bike and control everything from your phone.

We didn't like either option. We wanted a real Road King stereo, with a real radio, real controls and a proper display right in front of the rider — just like you would find on other Harley-Davidson touring motorcycles.

So we built one. The Havoc Roar Stereo HRS 144.2 Sport Handlebar Kit puts an Aquatic AV GP-1 gauge stereo directly into a custom Road King nacelle cap and powers a pair of 3.5" handlebar speakers made exclusively for Havoc Motorcycles by Aquatic AV. You can see it, reach it and control it from the cockpit, while keeping the classic Road King look.

Bluetooth when you want it. AM/FM radio when you want it. And no Road King fairing required.

REAL STEREO — NOT JUST SPEAKERS ON THE BARS

At the heart of the system is the waterproof Aquatic AV GP-1 gauge stereo, which is essentially the same popular Aquatic AV head unit used for a decade on Harleys with fairings, only in a gauge form. We mount this directly into a custom machined aluminum pod on a Road King nacelle cap. You get a visible, accessible head unit with proper controls and amplification rather than a hidden Bluetooth amplifier or a speaker-only system.

COMPACT 3.5" HANDLEBAR SPEAKERS

The HRS 3.5" handlebar speakers made by Aquatic AV are waterproof, and use ST-3J10 SB Audiophile high-output drivers with 89mm drivers and large 35.5mm voice coils. They are designed to deliver clear mids and highs in the environment where a Road King actually lives: wind, engine noise and an un-faired cockpit.

The system is factory tuned with Nichicon Muse Premium Audio high-pass filters set at 241Hz, keeping damaging sub-bass away from the 3.5" speakers while allowing them to operate in their intended frequency range.

The goal isn't exaggerated bass claims. It's clear vocals, guitars and music designed to cut through wind and engine noise — the things you actually want to hear when you're riding a Road King.

BUILT FOR THE ROAD KING

This system was designed around the classic Road King cockpit. The GP-1 is pre-installed in the supplied custom nacelle cap, while the compact 3.5" speaker pods mount to the handlebars using supplied hardware. No fairing is required.

Machined billet aluminum shims are included for:

• 1" handlebars
• 1-1/4" handlebars
• 1-1/2" handlebars

FINISH OPTIONS

BLACK

The Black version uses a durable black finish on the visible Havoc aluminum components, giving the system a clean, understated appearance while retaining the machined character of the Road King installation.

TRIPLE CHROME

The HRS 144.2 Sport is built from precision-machined aluminum components, and the Triple Chrome version lets the metal do the talking. The aluminum components are polished before being triple chrome plated, producing a deep, brilliant show-bike finish with the kind of shine you'd expect from a high-end custom motorcycle.

This isn't a painted or simulated chrome finish. It's real chrome over carefully prepared, precision-machined aluminum, with the polished surfaces underneath doing their part to give the finished components their depth and brilliance.

On a Road King, the nacelle, speaker enclosures and other visible aluminum components become part of the bike's visual statement. The result is a stereo that doesn't try to disappear — it looks like it belongs there, and the chrome is meant to be seen.

Brilliant. Deep. Show-bike chrome. When you're building a Road King that deserves to stand out, the finish matters.

FITMENT

Not intended for:

• Motorcycles converted to a fairing
• Custom models using a fly-screen in place of the nacelle arrangement
• Bikes using the nacelle-cap location for a tachometer unless it is relocated
• Radically modified front ends or custom nacelles without fitment confirmation

NO FACTORY HARNESS CUTTING

The system connects to power and ground at the battery using the supplied harnessing. No cutting into the factory Harley-Davidson wiring harness is required.

An inline on/off switch is included, allowing the system to be switched off to avoid unnecessary battery drain.
